"Christmas Rave Anthems"

Continuing in the vein of last years sell out compilation, the all time greatest Death Metal Christmas Anthems, this years treat for ravers is pitched squarely as the perfect gift for clubbers.

As far as compilations go this album is an unorthodox fusion of traditionally polarised genres- a kind of rave meets Santa. The album starts off slow with an ambient trip-hop groove in "Dreaming of a White Christmas", a cheeky reference to most clubbers Christmas wishes no doubt. The pace quickly picks up with the hard house mix of "Jingle Bells", and is well worth checking out. As is the German minimalist group Spritzen's hard dance reworking of the classic "Let it snow". Trance fans won't be disappointed by the inclusion of "(Un) Silent night" with its perfectly executed breaks and high energy pumping bass line. The album ends with "Merry X-Mas" a classic hoovers and horns 160 bpm hard bounce mix. All in all the compilation succeeds in its attempt and is certain to be a stocking filler this festive season.
